Something we get asked a lot is how exactly we recommend incorporating JouleFuel into your life and diet. Since this is a frequently asked question, you may yourself have gone to the FAQ to try and find the answer. We applaud that logic. However, the answer is a little too in-depth for a quick FAQ so we’re going to talk about it here.
When it comes to any sort of significant change you’re making, whether it’s starting a new exercise program, a new diet, or incorporating a meal replacement product, you should decide how it fits into your life, not the other way around.
For instance, if you were looking to get strong and healthy by taking up CrossFit, you might be tempted to commit to 5 am CrossFit sessions five times a week. That would be just fine … as long as getting up before 5 am is something you already do. If you’re normally in bed until 7:30 and you’re not a morning person, you wouldn’t want to force yourself to become one because it wouldn’t be a sustainable change. You’d be better off finding a box you could go to on your lunch hour, or after work.
The JouleFuel lifestyle is a lifestyle that works for you
We look at JouleFuel the same way. If, for example, you love the process of preparing yourself a healthy lunch, and you love eating dinner with your family, why would you try to replace all of your meals with JouleFuel?
Some people do replace the majority of their meals with JouleFuel. It’s what works for them and their schedule, and it may be what works for you. You can experiment with frequency, either consuming smaller quantities of JouleFuel 7 or 8 times a day, or scheduling bigger JouleFuel ‘meals’ three times a day.
Another popular JouleFuel strategy, so to speak, is to take JouleFuel for breakfast – ¾ of a cup to 1 ½ cups of JouleFuel powder, a banana, and almond milk blended together. You can prepare it the night before and have it waiting for you in the fridge nice and cold first thing in the morning. It’s a healthy way to start your day that gives you a great boost of energy and gets you through your morning commute, meetings and conference calls.
Recommendations for those new to the JouleFuel lifestyle
If you’re truly new to the idea of whole food-derived meal replacements and really don’t know where to start, we recommend that you begin by replacing those inconvenient meals with JouleFuel. Whenever you catch yourself standing in front of the fridge desperately trying to come up with something to eat, or reaching for a take-out menu, get your blender out instead.
Another great way to begin to incorporate JouleFuel into your life is to have it as an on-the-go snack as you need it. Blend up a serving in the morning, pour it into a thermos, and dip in whenever you could use some nourishment and energy.
There’s no right or wrong way to take JouleFuel. Unless you’re just eating big spoonfuls of the powder. That’s not what we intended.
